‘Evolution’ is a new BBC Television series presented by the British wildlife broadcaster Chris Packham. It presents footage of a great range of wildlife from around the world. A key purpose of the programme is to claim that the world has evolved by blind chance through evolution with no input from a Creator. Evolution is presented as a fact of science and the impression is given that all scientists accept evolution.
To present evolution as a fact is completely wrong. Scientists know there is absolutely no evidence for a naturalistic origin of life (abiogenesis). In the area of the origin of life, the evidence clearly point to intelligent design. So to proclaim evolution as a fact, represents a complete distortion of true science.
To imply that all scientists accept evolution is also completely wrong. Many scientists including biologists reject evolution. In my book Ultimate Engineering which was published in 2026, one of the people who wrote a commendation is Alan Linton, former head of the department of Microbiology at Bristol University. in his commendation he makes it clear he rejects the theory of evolution. There are seven other scientists with biology qualifications who wrote commendations for my book.
The commentary in the programme Evolution has a strong atheistic bias. Below are some examples of this bias:
EPISODE 1
Packham says the following:
“Across our natural world, life has taken on countless forms: wondrous, strange and endlessly diverse. It’s easy to imagine that all of this is, like, somehow preordained, that it’s been made, a world of balance and purpose. But the truth…The truth is much wilder. This is a world of survivors… behind it all is the unstoppable force of evolution.“
Here we see an atheistic worldview, denying purpose and design in the world. But true science tells a different story. The world has all the hallmarks of being made with purpose. The beauty, harmony and diversity of life in the world points to a Creator of infinite wisdom. Isaiah 45:18 declares that the world was made to be inhabited. In my book Ultimate Engineering I explain that God has explored the design space with perfection in the way He has created organisms with extremes of size, speed and environment. Evolution could never achieve such diversity.
EPISODE 3
Packham says the following:
No designer was involved in making these [ear] bones, which are currently floating in your head allowing you to hear what I’m saying. All that was needed was life’s relentless drive to find food.
Here again we see an atheistic worldview, denying there is a Designer. But again, true science tells a different story. In my book Ultimate Engineering I show that the ear bones form an intricate linkage mechanism that could never evolve by chance.
EPISODE 4
Packham says the following:
But here’s one thing that we know for certain: our brains, our minds simply wouldn’t exist without the power of evolution. That blind journey of change, of innovation, of exquisite beauty.
Here we see an atheistic worldview claiming that the human brain is just a product of evolution and nothing more than matter. But again, true science tells a different story. It is well known that human brains have capabilities that are far beyond what is required for survival. That contradicts the key principle of evolution that organisms evolve until they are ‘good-enough’ for survival and no more.
